Tackling trout - fishing school for the trout fisher.

trout fly fishing
Trout fly fishing school

Tackling trout is an all-inclusive package that aims to teach efficient trout fly casting and fly fishing. (including a fly tying evening) and is suitable for beginners and more experienced anglers alike. They will learn how to cast easily and efficiently and how to assess conditions to employ the most likely tactics for success with trout and grayling in most circumstances. With lots of experience of fly fishing for many fish the instructors are happy to teach and advise on fishing for salt water species, pike, tarpon and others on an individual basis. The school is suitable for groups of 3 to 8 persons and may be situated at any suitable venue of your choice.

Overview of the school objectives and curriculum.

What you need to bring

The only real essentials that you will need are suitable outdoor and waterproof clothing. Rods, and reels can be provided free for use during the course sessions. Guests are however encouraged to learn with their own equipment because that instills confidence in what you are using. If you wish to purchase any equipment or clothing there are several excellent fishing tackle shops in the area including Kate Fleming’s at Blairgowrie and Malloch of Perth should you require to purchase anything.
